You’ll learn how to apply ethical standards in real-world scenarios\, recognize and respond to legal requirements relevant to your work\, and utilize a practical four-step ethical decision-making model to assess and mitigate risk. With effective risk management strategies in place\, you’ll be better equipped to protect your practice from board complaints and ensure the highest standard of care for your clients. \nRegister Here\nEducational Objectives\nAfter attending this intermediate level program in full\, participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand and explain how ethical standards apply to working with children and adolescents and families.\nIdentify laws that pertain to behavioral health providers working with children and adolescents and families.\nLearn to evaluate and mitigate risk using the four steps using an ethical decision making model.\n\nPresenter\nDr. Yoendry Torres\, Psy.D.\, is a bilingual clinical psychologist with a passion for helping behavioral health professionals grow their practices ethically and successfully. In addition to serving as the Director of Behavioral Health for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe\, he is the co-founder and HIPAA Privacy Officer of Intuition Wellness Center. With advanced training in family systems\, Dr. Torres brings a wealth of experience to his work\, offering clinical supervision and group consultations on ethics\, business\, and marketing for private practitioners. \n \nParticipants\nThis workshop is open to all psychologists and mental health professionals interested in learning more about the ethical and legal standards for working with children\, adolescents\, and families. This program is intended for those with an intermediate level of knowledge and experience. \nContinuing Education\nThis program is available for three (3) continuing education credits.
