As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I offer strengths-based approaches that support individuals and couples in finding balance, authentic connection, and healing. I work with adults and older teens on a variety of topics, some including: healing after trauma; life transitions; sexuality and relationships; communication; self-confidence; stress; identity and meaning-making; and overcoming shame and building self-compassion. I recognize that every individual is unique and use a person-centered approach that prioritizes the areas where each person would like to grow.

Trust and connection matter in a counseling relationship. My approach is warm, encouraging, and direct. I bring compassionate understanding as another human navigating life’s ebbs and flows. I also bring experience as former director of a university sexual assault resource center and as a national consultant and author in trauma work & social justice fields.

My approach integrates insight and experience from over a decade of working in advocacy and counseling fields with the innate wisdom each person brings. Clients can expect a safe space for sharing, supportive listening, thoughtful questions, the sharing of insights, exploration of ideas, an opportunity to explore mindfulness, and practical suggestions.
