Kate is a therapist, activist, and educator. Her personal fascination with relationships and sexuality lead her to pursue a fulfilling career as a licensed professional counselor. Kate studied at the Kinsey Institute which is a renowned school for the study of gender and sexuality. She owns a small private practice in Tucson, AZ specializing in counseling gender and sexual minorities and people in alternative relationships (ethical non-monogamy/polyamory). Kate also co-created the Southwest Love Fest, a conference on ethical non-monogamy, relationship and community building, and transformative justice. Kate is passionate about providing ongoing trainings to help counselors improve their skills and to improve services for members of her beloved community. Her personal and professional beliefs are informed by feminism and social justice, seeing much of the dis-ease in our lives as rooted in a normal response to an oppressive system that is then pathologized and stigmatized.
