As a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified in Interactive Guided Imagery (SM), I have developed my practice around my belief in the mind-body connection. Whether your concerns are related to depression or anxiety, or originate with a physical problem, my approach is to consider these issues in the context of the whole person--mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Guided Imagery can be particularly helpful for accessing inner resources that you possess, but with which you may be out of touch.

A treatment plan is developed and strategies are identified which may be the most helpful in capitalizing on your existing strengths...perhaps learning more techniques for self-soothing would be useful, or how to communicate effectively. Ultimately, just having an unrelated, objective person to talk to is in itself therapeutic.

After working in a hospital for almost 20 years, I feel that I am well suited to address health related concerns, dying/death, and grief. An area of particular interest to me is helping patients prepare for surgery or other invasive medical procedures using Guided Imagery.
