About Dr. Nanda

Here in the San Francisco Bay area, Dr. Nanda provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment for children, teens, young adults and adults while working at a variety of places including her private practice office and a community mental health center. She is an expert in treatment eating disorders such a anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating disorder and has experience working in eating disorder residential treatment programs. She also provides telepsychiatry services for established private practice patients and is up to date on all the new psychiatric medications that are currently on the market. She has a history of working as a sub-investigator in pharmaceutical research getting new medications approved by the FDA. She also has experience with ordering the new genetic testing for psychiatric medications.

 

Education
Dr. Nanda was accepted in to the B.S./M.D. Program after graduating high School in New York City. She attended York College of Pennsylvania and received a B.S. in Biology. She then graduated from Penn State College of Medicine and received her M.D. degree. She finished one year of Family Practice residency then switched her career path to Psychiatry. Dr. Nanda completed her adult psychiatric training at St.Vincent’s Medical Center, which was the main hospital for victims of the 9/11 attacks. She then completed her Child and Adolescent training at Columbia and Cornell University hospital in NYC and had the opportunity to gain experience in two of the best academic centers in NYC. Dr. Nanda is Board Certified in Adult and Child Adolescent Psychiatry and Neurology.
